If we were heading for a lazy afternoon at the beach, Kamala is usually where we go. About 35 minutes from our house, its white sands and calm waters are a great place to relax, swim, and soak up some rays. Accommodation ranges from luxury resorts to beachfront bungalows and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. The drive from Kamala to the wedding venue in Mai Khao beach is about 50 minutes.

Bang Tao/Laguna Beach is one of Phuket’s longest beaches and you’ll find several beach bars and restaurants nestled along the 6km of sand. Nearby Cherngtalay also offers local markets, shops, and a range of restaurants. Just north of this resort, you will also find the beautiful Banana Beach, one of our all time favourites. The drive from Bang Tao to the wedding venue in Mai Khao beach is about 30 minutes.

Mai Khao Beach is a tranquil, pristine stretch of coastline, and the perfect setting for us to say ‘I do’. A much quieter area of Phuket, its golden sands and uncrowded environment allow for ultimate relaxation. Nature lovers will also appreciate the nearby Sirinat National Park and the annual sea turtle nesting season! The area is home to several luxury resorts and private villas, making it a peaceful retreat with a touch of luxury, surrounded by natural beauty. Staying here means you would be close to the wedding venue, the airport, and the bridge to head off the island and explore.
